Getting started

How do I start?: Create your account. If you have a team, ask its admin for an invite link; to open your own, pick a plan and place an order. Your team opens when the order is approved.
Which browsers?: Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. The mini window exists only in Chrome and Edge. On a phone you also enter through the browser.
Do others see my username?: No. Your username is for signing in only. In a team, everyone sees your display name for that team.
I forgot my password: The "I forgot my password" link on the sign-in screen emails you a reset link. If email is not open yet, write to us.

My microphone does not work: Check the permissions in the browser's address bar. Open Audio settings from the settings button at the bottom left and use "Test microphone". You can still listen if the mic does not open.
Noise suppression options: Strong (DeepFilterNet3): the cleanest result, uses more of your computer, downloads a model at first use. Normal (RNNoise): enough for most places, runs lightly. Off: the mic only closes during silence.
Push to talk: Turn it on in Audio settings. A browser cannot see keys inside a game: it works only while the tab is in front.
Mini window: To keep your mic in sight while gaming. Open it from the voice section in the corner (Chrome and Edge).
Does voice drop when I switch teams?: No. Even if you move to another team from the left rail, your voice stays in its room; the corner section shows which room.
Can I use two devices?: Yes, but voice runs on one device: joining voice on a new device removes the old one from voice.

Invite versus guest: A member invite adds the person to the team. A guest invite is valid for 15-60 minutes: the person does not become a member, sees only the general room, cannot read old messages, and someone with permission pulls them into voice.
How do roles work?: Only the team owner edits roles. Higher roles outrank lower ones. Each room can allow or deny permissions per role.
Rooms: Voice room: talking and screen sharing. Text room: full-screen chat. Announcement: permitted people write, everyone reads. Community: a feed on its own screen. Text, announcement and community rooms can be made public.
Voice room chat history: Only the team owner and people they permit see it; others see what was written while they were in the room.
What happens when my plan ends?: A 7-day grace period follows and service continues. Then the team is suspended and data is kept for 30 days; renew in that time and it opens again.

Two-step verification: My account → Security. Save your recovery codes: they let you in if you lose your phone.
Downloading my data or deleting my account: My account → My data. If you own a team, transfer or delete it first.
Reporting someone: "Report" in the menu of the message or person. A copy of the message goes to us and the team owner.
